It is our desire to assist those interested in learning about our American history to connect with historians, reenactors and exhibitors who can provide the services sought. We are in the process of compiling a list of those individuals. 


Sons of the American Revolution, Cincinnati Chapter

 Captain Howard Miller Flag Collection

The Captain Howard Miller Flag Collection consists of 70 flags dating from pre-Revolutionary War times through the current U.S. 50-Star flag. Captain Miller, a vexillologist (an authority and collector of flags), assembled the collection in the late 1950s and toured throughout the Midwest for more than 25 years giving flag presentations to schools and civic organizations. The collection is now maintained by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. The collection contains thirty Revolutionary War era flags and colors and another forty flags representing specific times and events throughout America’s history.

Colonel McGraw was commissioned in the U.S. Army Field Artillery from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1979. He spent his first 21 years of US Army service in a variety of command and staff positions in infantry divisions in the Republic of Korea, the Federal Republic of Germany and in the continental United States. Colonel McGraw spent 14 months in 2005 & 2006 as the Director of Operations for Combined Forces Command in Afghanistan and spent the remainder of his commissioned service as the Director for Afghanistan Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Colonel McGraw retired from the U.S. Army in July 2009 after 30 years of commissioned service and is currently the President and General Manager of Planet Products Corporation in Blue Ash, Ohio. He is married to Dr. Alicia Bridgeland and they have seven children.

My name is Allan Howey, and I'm a retired US Air Force officer.  After a 34-year military career, I returned to college to earn two degrees in music.  I am now a solo performer, trumpet teacher, and the leader of "Big AL's" Speakeasy Jazz Band.

Ronnie is a lifelong resident of Southwest Ohio. He is an active duty police officer in Centerville Ohio. He has been happily married for 43 years, has two children and four grandchildren. He and his wife, Teresa, are certified instructors through the Institute on the Constitution and teach Constitution classes.

 An avid student of history, his favorite era is that surrounding our country’s founding. The American Frontiersman is his area of expertise. He has studied Daniel Boone, Simon Kenton and  Davey Crockett in depth.

Much of his family hails from the area in and surrounding the Daniel Boone National Forest. He spent much of his childhood playing in and exploring the hills of Kentucky and visiting historical sites and places that figured prominently in the life of Daniel Boone.
